Needing Help with Building own gaming desktop? Hello there. I'm interested in building my own gaming computer since it seems to be a cheaper way of getting my hands on a good gaming machine. I will be playing the new Champions Online game when it's released and I want to maximize the graphics and limit any lag. But anyways I don't really have much knowledge on computers so If I could get some tips and component lists on what it takes to make a gaming desktop then that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Is PC gaming worth it to switch from consoles? I was thinking about building a PC entirely for gaming (I already have a MacBook for internet/word processing) and I didn't know if it was worth it or not. I have a PS3 and Xbox 360 at the moment, and I am pretty much satisfied with their game library. The only PC exclusives I am interested in are The Witcher 1/2, Crysis, and MMORPG's such as Star Wars The Old Republic/WoW/Dark Age of Camelot. I would play some games that are better on PC such as Bioshock, Doom and any other FPS but I don't know how I would adapt to the controls on PC. I also already have Oblivion and Morrowind but I was thinking about playing them on the PC for mods. I am really looking forward to the Elder Scrolls 5 but after hearing Bethesda say it is pretty much the same on all three platforms, I am wondering if building a PC is worth it. I have about $500 dollars saved up and will need to save up more if I am going to build a PC. I don't know how to build one, but I can learn. If I already have a PS3 and Xbox 360, is building a PC entirely for gaming worth it if all the games I want, save a few, are on console? I do prefer good graphics and I don't know how I would adapt to mouse/keyboard controls. Any feedback/help is appreciated
How does PC gaming work? I play consoles but i never played games on the pc or learned how they do it. Do you buy a controller or just play keyboard? How do you know if your system is powerful enough for certain games? Im totally new so a full explenation would be helpful. peace Thanks for the response but im still quite confused. Can you explain to me what this means: "Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs)"
What are the best Desktop PC components to build a gaming PC? Processor, motherboard, RAM, graphics card, etc.? I mainly play League Of Legends but more options will become open once the PC is built. I am building it on my own, and please don't say buy a stock Dell or Alienware or some shit.
How much information can you give me about The Sims 3 for PC? How good is the game? What kinds of things can you do in the game? How is it so different from The Sims 1 and 2? What are some special things you can do in the game? Is it really worth 40 bucks? Can you build multi-story houses? Can you drive the car? Travel around the actual neighborhood? Can you really make a unique character like the website says? Can you actually work at your job? I would like to know a lot of things about it before I buy it. The only Sims game I have it The Sims 2: Pets, and it's pretty lame and I don't really play it anymore. So what can you tell me about The Sims 3 for PC?
Original/unique games? I used to play games a fair bit, but mostly RPGs, strategies, and more "thoughtful" games that had something interesting or unique about them. Never much liked repetitive action stuff. These days, even RPGs and all seem boring. I enjoyed Assassin's creed for a while, because it was a bit different with climbing buildings and hiding and all, but it got boring too. I particularly enjoyed Black & White a few years back, because that was quite unique. Sadly these games seem few and far between. So... are there any cool, unique games at the minute, that are worth playing just because they're so unique and an experience in their own right? Something that isn't just another shooter with different graphics, or another RPG in a different land, or another racing game, on a different track? Please don't suggest Civilization. It was great the first time I played it, but all the new versions are just the same game with different graphics.
Im tired of trying to find a pre built(cheap) pc to fit my needs? As christmas is coming up. My parents told me i can pick what i want for xmas. I said i want to pick out parts to build my own pc. They laughed and are.completely against it. They said i can get a pre built one for a fine price... not with what i need. I am very knowledged in pc's and stuff involving them. So anyone have an idea how i could try to talk em into it? Thanks :)
I need some tips for a gaming PC build on a $500-$650 budget? I have parts all ready chosen. I was wondering if this would be a good build or if anyone had some ideas for alternative parts. I all ready have a full tower case I can use. I plan to play Diablo III, Arma III, Elder Scrolls Online, Battlefield 4, etc. Basically RPGs, MMOs, and FPS. I was wondering if this build would be able to all games on ultra or high. I know on some more graphic intensive games like Battlefield 4 it might be an issue. So what do you think? This build cost a total of $586.91 before tax. First Time PC Building. General Help.? i currently have an aspire 1430g desktop which gets me by. but i want something that will sustain my gaming needs for a few years at least which is where a lot of my PC time goes (and porn haha). anyway, id like to use as much of my aspire as i can which i dont think is much, maybe the fan. my budget is around $500. the most ive done with hardware is installing more memory and i helped a buddy put his together recently. it seems easy so i think i can build it. my problem is i dont know much about the components and what does what and how they affect each other. please point me in the right direction for the following items and include any random advice on a first time build. 1. a unique/cool mid-full case, a see through side and lights are big plus's 2. how do i know what size power supply i need? 3 GPU id like to run skyrim with high level decals 4. CPU not sure about it at all 5. i know the new PS4 uses DDR5 so maybe that would be best here as well? 6. i hear about a new drive called SSD would this be better than a hard drive? 7. whats the dif between USB 2 and 3 8. how do i know if my processor has a heat sink or needs thermal paste? 9. what do i need to know about graphics cards? 10. how important are those fancy temp gauges some have on the front case? would using the hard drive and ddr3 that i have already affect the performance at all?

Any good puzzle games for PC? I'm looking to buy a puzzle game for PC for my dad for Christmas, but I'm not too fond of puzzle games so I don't really know which one to get. He likes things along the lines of Peggle and Luxor, so more like just puzzles rather than an adventure-type game that includes puzzles in it. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated :)
Reccomend me some PS2/PS3/PC games? I have a WIDE variety of tastes, please no mmo's. Anyways, list a game and reccomend why I should buy it. I will give everything once chance (I probably already like the genre so that doesn't really matter for much)

Xbox360 doesn't seem to have games like it but I was just looking for mostly PC and are there any games similar or newer that are fun to play? Second Person/First Person would be great and Medieval Games with shields, swords, etc..
Recommendations for games like Harvest Moon or Animal Crossing? I have played both of them, as well as God like games like the Sims (currently the Sims 3) which I also like. Building a computer hard? I am in the market for a PC or Mac but am open to the idea of building my own PC. I don't know very much at all about computers but the idea of building one does seem fun to me and rewarding. Is it cheaper to build your own or to purchase one already complete? Also I would like to do some gaming on it so it would need to be built with that in mind. Any info someone could give me would be great.
Help with the PC game Joint Operations-Typhoon Rising/Escalation.? Ok, so I bought the PC game Joint Operations with the Escalation expansion disc and I cant get it to work. All it lets me play is the training missions. When I click on "Novaworld" I get this message: "An error has occured attempting to connect to the network system. You may not have enough RAM or you may of some NETWORK SOCKETS blocked. Make sure you are not running other network applications that may take these resources away. You can reconfigure what sockets this game uses by editing game.cfg. Look for mpgateserverlocalport.(Code NWEC15)" I have tried removing the game and reinstalling it several times, I tried opening ports, and the website is extemely unhelpful. The number they list only is a recording that gives the two websites novaword.com and novalogic.com and there is no live help like they say there is. I am completely clueless as to how to get this game to work. My CPU is new and has plenty of RAM so thats not the problem. PLEASE HELP ME. Thanks! And also when I open the file location and click on game.cfg it says that the file cannot be read.

Like I said something very medieval where you can build buildings like those back then and mass units to attack enemies. Thanks for the help!

What is a good laptop to run any of the games that can be downloaded via Steam? I'm a big PC gamer and have been meaning to get back to it, but I need a laptop capable of running these games, I've been looking at Alienware laptops but they can get really expensive, and I'm not sure if it's worth it, if necessary I would get an Alienware but is there a cheaper laptop that works near as well?
What are some good, unique, and original games? I'm thinking mainly for xbox 360 or PC, and possibly ps2 or gamecube (although ive already looked thoroughly into those 2). I want something that is a unique experience and NOT a fps or zombie game, because every game made nowadays is one and I am more than sick of them. Any suggestions? And please, don't say CoD. Sorry fanboys, but there is nothing creative or innovative about those games. I mean something really creative, as in completely one of a kind

What combination of microsoft products would be best for a gamer? I'm a huge gamer. I love playing (or at least watching) games like Call of Duty, Battlefield, Minecraft, Grand Theft Auto, Titanfall, Watch Dogs, etc. I love microsoft tech, and hate apple. I have small dreams about becoming a successful YouTuber, and/or having a successful job at microsoft. But I'm having a major dilemma. I have about $800 to go spend, a dream come true for a fanboy like me. The problem is, I'm notorious for not having my priorities set straight. I have many aspects of my life that need satisfaction: gaming, school, personal, etc. Now, with that being said, let me explain what opinions I need. The windows phones are excellent little devices in my opinion. They have everything I need in a phone: games, tools, calling, texting, and music. I am in desperate need of a cell phone, and this is my only route. The issue: it's not exactly TOP priority, and the good ones can be expensive. On the pile it goes. Microsoft has a lot of third party support in their tablets, but I think that the surface is original, unique, and majorly first party supportive. In my opinion, it is more productive than any IPad ever, and apparently comes with office home and student pre installed. That would satisfy my school life, and it can also connect to xbox consoles through smartglass. To top that, it also has clip on keyboards and things of that type. Also does web browsing, games, and music. Issue: they can also be expensive. It doesn't do YouTube videos too well, though I could probably find a way to make it happen if I became desperate enough. On the pile it goes. Xbox has gotten huge lately. Last I checked, it had 30 million members in the army, but just today I learned it has 50 million. It has all the games a gamer could ask for: minecraft, call of duty, battlefield, etc. they have the Xbox 360, which I can pick up a value bundle for $250. But it only has about 3 years left in it, and I don't want to be left in the dust when Xbox one keeps Rollin along. they just rolled out with the Xbox One, which costs $500. The issue: doesn't do YouTube vids, MS office, or web browsing efficiently. To the pile. The last major component: a PC. This is the granddaddy of my whole master plan. It satisfies everything that I need. Gaming too? Not quite. See, while PC does games, there are no players. Not nearly as many as those on xbox or playstation (which is not an option). For example, I was on Call of duty: black ops 2 on my house PC earlier today (which sucks for a computer), and there were only 1000 players on. Not to mention that people will be on there with computer specifications lower than the required, meaning that gameplay will be harder for others, including myself. To wrap this up: PC satisfies everything I need, except gaming a tad bit. To the pile. Now, so far, there's the phone, tablet, xbox, and PC, but I can only afford to have a few. Now, if you've been paying attention, you can probably answer my question: what combination of these four would be the best for me in the long term? Would it be getting the phone and the xbox, but not being able to have Ms office, or make YouTube videos? Should it be the tablet and the PC? Mobile gaming and home gaming, but suffering from loneliness and not being able to make calls? Should I get an xbox 360 and a phone/tablet for smartglass the technology and still having MS office, but no YouTube video making?or an Xbox one and a cheap windows phone, so I can have a longer lasting gaming experience, but no microsoft office? Should I get the phone and PC, so I can almost satisfy everything except the majority of players? The decisions are major, and will affect me massively in my long term, so having only one opinion on this is not helpful. Please help me, and thank you so much in advance. Also, I may have missed a few advantages-disadvantages details, so please, if you find any, factor those into your answers. Thank you! Update: NO I am not a ms employee, not yet anyway. I'm just a 14 year old in 9th grade tryin to bump through life with what few finds I have in my pocket cuz my parents won't help me and all I can do is work work work work work until I get JUST enough for that shiny new tech thingy that just came out. That's why I said I only have $800 to work with here, so please just help me because I'm desperate, my only laptop just recently broke and the only thing I'm bumping through on now is this crappy iPod touch 5th gen. Now once again, help a guy out!

What Do You Think of This Generation of Gaming? Call of Duty: Ghost - Okay graphics, yet I don't care about this. Story line is most likely going to be another bull crap-cheesy-super-linear-action-military-shooter. Battlefield 4 - Another military game that became really crappy since Bad Company (Since when did Battlefield ever have a campaign? Oh yeah...). It's riddled with dubstep and idiots who think a building falling with no actual physics is the best think in the world of gaming. Last time I checked, MW3 had something somewhat similar, so I'm never going to be impressed till we see real-time physics included into it. Feels like it should just be another expansion pack to Battlefield 3. Grand Theft Auto 5 - People only like it because it's an open world playground. Honestly, I couldn't wait either but I'm not planning to get this till I get GTA 4 (I'm still playing GTA Vice City atm). I'm not buying anything GTA when I've heard of what PC gamers had to put up with of GTA 4's release on the PC. Oh, and lets not forget the FPS issues on consoles... Horrid as hell if you ask me. I've lost my interest with Call of Duty since CoD4 came along. Battlefield Vietnam was amazing, why won't they make another one of them and not the small DLC for Bad Company 2? That'd be more interesting to play. If anyone remembers the original Ghost Recon where one bullet would kill you and it involved real strategies, what happen to that? That was the best game on PC and on the PS2 :/. The only game I'll buy is Dark Souls II. At least the Souls series is VERY unique compared to every other game of today and wasn't easy to complete which made is WORTH the money of getting. Praise the sun! Anyways, what do you think of this generation of gaming?

Advice on the switch from consoles to PC? Warning: this might be a long question. Alright, I'm a major console gamer. I've owned all the major consoles at one point or another, and recently read an article on the history of the FPS and how consoles became what they are now including the roots of PC gaming. Well needless to say it has raised a few questions on what exactly am I missing that the consoles can't provide. Mainly the ability to make such unique experiences on PC. When you get a console your stuck with what's popular, and the price tag they slap on those experiences. On the PC it seems to be the place to be. From awesome indie games, to the crazy warfare BF3 can be on an awesome machine. Along with the ability to make mods to games (Skyrim, Doom, Minecraft to name a few) and really show off talent. I want to be a programmer and currently learning languages so at hopefully some point in my future I'll be able to express my ideas. The thing is, if I am going to make the jump to really pursue my passion I'll have to get a rig that can take advantage of what these amazing developers have to offer. I want to build an awesome PC, and learn the mouse and keyboard control scheme which growing up on the limitations of the controller, that input method feels unnatural. Where would you suggest me to begin. Also what are your thoughts on the videogame industry as a whole in the regard I'm talking about.
Looking for a hardcore PC RTS/Action game? I want unique strategy game who isnt simple as warcraft, but genuine as stronghold or homm3. In a game i espect freedom to build/demolish/investigate/design and lootable opponent stuff (like cargo's and troops in Anno 1701) Or i want hardcore action game most prefered First person, but no, dont offer me just random shooter, like cod or counter strike,i more supposed to get medieval FPS game,to use difficult sword(mace or dagger,no diffrence) mechanics, manual aim with bow or crossbow. Also since i demand hardcore i require that blood effect and loosing head, hands, leggs would be available too (like in die by the sword:limb by limb)
What changed in 10 years that console games now require "updates"? I understand that the Xbox 360 was built something kind of like a PC so that 360 games could be ported easily to the PC. But in the last 15 years I've seen the degredation of the gaming industry first hand. First, in the mid 90s, I saw 40+ hour games devolve down to 20-25 hour games. I thought that would be the end of it, but it's only gotten worse since then. PC games get updates because each system is unique and no 2 PCs are the same, causing the games to be tailor built to each PC. But now you have every single game being rushed and released so unstable and buggy that every single game on every single console, and every type of PC (windows, linux, etc) requiring developer updates that aren't always guaranteed to fix the problem. So, WTF? On a scale of ridiculousness from 1 to 10, this ranks up to 11 for me. It's almost as if they want to be pirated.
I'm looking for a PC game and I can't think of the name.? Okay I know it's fairly new. So it's kinda like a simulation adventure game. You get spawn into a unique world and now worlds are the same. It's doesn't have very good graphics like a old pixel game. What you do it in the game is start collecting materials so you can build things like a crafting tables, shovels, picks, torches. There are monsters there that attack so you want to build a house to live in to keep the monsters out. You can dig all the way to the bottom of the world where you collect lava, rocks, coal, iron, clay and such. I'm hoping someone can help me out. I know it's a down loadable game where you can pay 15 for the whole game and you can just play the demo. I also know that the game is made by just one guy in in is spare time.
Before the Sims, i could have sworn they're was a cheap generic PC game with the same basic point? I'm just curious? People talk about how unique and original The Sims Games are, but as a child i can remember another game much like it my father had on his computer for us to play. I guess in a sense it was different, you didnt get to build houses and all, but basically they're was this man. it showed his entires 3 story house on one screen.... I think he did most of his living....But i mean you could easily a button and feed his dog...help him to meet others, he would leave the house for dates and all. its been so long i dont remember too much else.... I know he would try and speak to you, much like the sims you couldnt understands what he was saying... But it would show you like a sentence or 2 of text asking a question... If you didnt answered he would just knock, looked he was knocking on the screen to get your attention, and they're would be a nose, like knocking on glass.... I'm just curious, its been so long and i dont remember much, but when i hear people talk about the Sims games originallity, and other games following its path.....thats what i think of?
What real time strategy pc games meet all (or most) of this criteria? - infinite resources on battlefield - multiple civilizations, none of them should be overpowered(with unique units, bonuses, etc.) - not more than 3 different kinds of resources - not glitchy(units get left behind because they walk into walls, etc.) - build buildings wherever you want - you've played played the game and had fun with it(don't just search one up) - good campaign(I do not like random skirmishes or campaign scenarios that feel like random skirmishes) -a lot of destruction just in case anyone is wondering if it's possible to make all the criteria, Age of Empires 3 makes all the criteria. I actually created this criteria based on AOE3.

What is the name of this PC game that might be during late 90s or early 2000s? I can only describe what I remember since the last time I played it was years and years ago and I didn't play it a lot. During character creation, you see portraits of heroes that you can choose and rename and it will be your picture/hero for the rest of the game unless you delete and create a new one. Before playing, you have to chose a race to use including Dark Elves, White Elves, Forest/Tree Elves (cannot really remember), Humans, Orcs, and so on. There's really a lot to choose from. Also, within each race, you have your hero abilities that you can customize to your own strategy. While playing, you can construct building (much like Warcraft) and hire soldiers to fight along side with you or defend the base. The hero has the ability to level up as it acquire experiences during battle and it remains and adds up during the course of the game. Meaning, you can have an access again with the skills and choose another one or upgrade previous ones. Now, the thing that it makes it more unique is the ability of the hero to colonize or convert the base of the enemy into your own just by using your hero to "sway his/her staff" and must not be interrupted for a certain time until conversion is complete. This also means that your hero cannot attack at that duration. More likely, this the objective of the game - to colonize land after land. That's all that I can remember. Please help. Thanks!
PLEASE HELP: Setting Up PS3 Controller On PC, Game Example: Fallout New Vegas? I've been building my own computer for about a year now and I finally purchased the graphics card I've been wanting for quite some time. Anyways, I'm not one to do everything like the rest- everything I do has to be unique or different from everyone else's items and what not, so... I decided to take up a step and move from keyboard and mouse to my PS3 controller so i can relax and play video games on my bed and lay down at the same time. I downloaded some thing called Motion Joy and some DS3 thing that supposedly allows me to use the PS3 controller on my computer, however, I can't seem to get the controller to work even after doing all of the instructions properly. My specs: PS3 Controller Dualshock 3 Sixaxis wireless controller using usb from controller to computer. Also the game I especially want to work for this is Fallout New Vegas. If you also now how to activate the PS3 controller from ingame or whatever please please please include that for me :) Thanks.
Name of an unusual side-scrolling game? I can't remember the name no matter how many times I've tried, so I'm going to make a list with all clues I can remember from the game. - 2D Side-scrolling game for PC - Probably released around 1997-2005 - OK graphics for that year - Goal: Get to the end of the level while collecting as much food/items as possible - Game map began on the bottom of a huge boat, fighting all the way up to the top and continuing on land (Left to Right) - Several levels with monsters, about every fourth/fifth level had a boss of some kind - The first boss may have been a pig on a long table. Another boss was a man moon walking - There were three or four eligible characters: 2 male and 1 woman (could have been more) - Characters were NOT human, more animal-like - Each character had a unique weapon, the girl was tossing an anvil - The game was built little like a maze where you had to think where to go - Hearts were healing you - Food and different items were "points" that could give you extra life - Some of the levels: kitchen area, fine room area, deck area, house area - Stationary, shooting objects that could be killed, i.e. cupid statue - Most levels had "trampolines" with design related to that level, i.e. lifebuoy on water related levels I believe few have actually played the game, it may belong to a cartoon of some kind, but I can't remember that either. Well, if someone actually recognizes the game, please give me a name of the game! - Probably released between 1990 and 2005* The game map was done from left to right while the levels could be played in all directions. Left/right/up/down.
Dells any good............? I'm looking to purchase a new laptop soon but it's a daunting choice with so many out there. My last was an hp and it was great, but when I came back from basic training over a year ago, it had mysteriously died. My first desktop was a dell and it lasted forever. Bottom line, I really like what dell offers in terms of "building" your own unique laptop. You can make it as powerful as you want, graphics cards, webcams etc... Do any other manufacturers offer this? I'd love another hp as my last one served long and strong. But I love the customization factor of a dell. Any and all help is appreciated! P.S. I'll use the laptop mainly for just Internet, Facebook, YouTube, etc. But money is good right now so I wouldn't mind picking up a faster laptop with a good graphics card and all that in case I ever pick up pc gaming again. Also, I don't really want a Mac. I love my iPhone, but no.

Looking for good games? I`m looking for PC games worth playing. Went through many lists but most of the games listed are FPS and shooters, which I`m not interested in. I don`t really know my taste, but I will mention some games, which I really enjoyed and try to explain why: Puzzle Quest I/II - I like the match-3 types, but the game developers went even further and put a nice RPG element - classes, leveling up, skills, choosing stats etc. Recetear an item shop`s tale - shop simulator + Rpg. You yourself decide what to do with your day and how to gain profit - buy and resell staff or go and get all your stuff from dungeon. Minecraft and Terraria - open world, do anything you want, build anything you like or simply explore the area, underground etc. Elder Scrolls: Oblivion - open world, you don`t have to stick to the main quests, plenty things to do and plenty choices to make. Plants vs. Zombies - addictive and fun tower defense Heroes of Might and Magic series - simply unique gameplay imho Diablo 2/Torchlight - nice rpgs Prince of Persia series - nice games with obstacles and challenges to face. Quite difficult but still beatable :) I`m open to your suggestions. You can also suggest something interesting from ps1 or ds because I can run emulators on my pc, eventhough I have played most of the ps1 games, which are considered good. I`m not afraid of bad graphics if the games is good and exciting. I know I have listed mostly rpgs and puzzle games, but you can also suggest from other genres.
Help identifying two games? 1st game: it's a strategy turn based pc game made in the late 1900's (i think). when you play, you control the yellow army in the top left hand corner and are trying to defeat the 3 computers at the other corners. After you decide to go, all troops move to the place the players place them and explosions happen if enemy troops meet. the troops worth the most points win the battle and the losers become a part of the winners team. you collect command points to build troops and if you have enough, you can build a nuke that destroys everything in that square. you can have destroyers, infantry, tanks, and planes. if you have 3 of a kind, you can combine it to get a stronger version. in order to conquer the enemy base, you have to send in infantry to collect the enemy flag, which will give you all of their points and troops. 2nd game: it's a 1 or two player game on the same computer. you and the opponent select a unique spaceship and are suppose to try to kill each other. the catch was that there was a planet in the middle of the map and it's gravitational pull affected the space ships. I think each spaceship had it's own special attack. but if the space ship hit the planet, i think they exploded. 2nd game: you're trying to kill the other player. its only you two and a planet i believe.
Good Racing Video Games? I own many racing games for PC, Playstation 2 and Xbox 360, games such as the Full midnight Club series and many Need For Speed games, Forza, Test drive Unlimited and many others. I'm wondering why all the games are so limited, everytime i play one game it feels like the developers leave out key parts and its weaknesses are another games strengths and vise versa, For instance the Midnight Club Series has great customisable options, considerable better than the Need For Speed Series, though Need For Speed has much more realistic car handling. I'm wondering why the games produced by each series still have these problems and why can't a game be created that has great realism and customisation options. The car lists are usualy quite small considering all the racing games that have been released you'd think that they'd build upon it and expanding it. That was an example, its's hard to explain as i said. I know you can just say "go make your own game then if you can do better" But i don't know why a racing game can't have a large car list, realistic car handling and feeling and have good customisation options? A great racing game would most likely be online, you would have a great selection of cars, some you can purchase from the start, some you can buy when you progress through the game, some only if you say achieve a special score or do something unique. You'd start with an old "bomb" car, something like an old honda civic gl or a hyundai xcel and youd work your way up to the powerful supercars such as the Koenigsegg CCX or Saleen s7. The game would have you enter as just a random person who wants to race, youd eventualy start making friends, enemies and throughout the game friends would become enemies and some enemies would become friends, people would betray you and you betray them. The game could have you racing in both legal motorsport and illegal street racing. Other modes such as drifting, drag, first to the point, cross country racing etc. Even some extreme things such as smashing up a car, somehow preventing an enemy from winning a race or stealing cars. You'd eventualy start racing the best people until you meet the best racer in the world, the perfect driver and they would have some realy fast, powerful car, it would be just you and them alone competeing for the title of the best and it would be almost impossible to beat them, but you would feel like you accomplished something great from beating them. Car customisation should be details down to trim on your car, colour of headlights, types of pedals, how pumped up your tyres are etc. and instead of the "level 2 upgrade" you should be able to install a custom flywheel and choose the brand (in accordance to the brands price and performance in real life) and choose how you want it installed. As said it should have a huge car list with regular downloadable content such as more cars and race courses, cars should include Classic, Import, Supercars, Luxury, Racing vehicles, Muscle cars, motorcycles, maybe even SUVS and off road vehicles, as well as concept ofcourse. Online racers could either join a server where you can cruise, race in an open world while other people drive around (during your race so you might crash into free roaming people as you race) or closed where you can only interact with people your racing. So i'm sure this is the nerdiest and pointless thing ever written/typed but i'm sure it's not that hard for a company to actualy spend over 1 year making a game (even if it took 5 years) to make a game like this, it's not like it wouldn't be a success. I know there are things such as liscensing etc. but i'm sure thats a drop in the ocean for the money that they'd rake in. Also i don't think graphics matter, the graphics of Need For Speed Most Wanted are 2005 but they still look fine and i'm sure anyone could play with those, for anyone saying the graphics of the game would end up being outdated by the time it's released. Thoughts etc. would be nice

Help me find the name of this game?!?!? I cant remember much but it was a strategy game where you started out as a village with the characters are like age of empires and then you would go through the ages with technology improvements... so the final age you could build futuristic stuff one more thing I remember is building walls called plasma walls and having stealth planes. The Plasma walls are unique to this game because I don't think any other strategy games had them. Oh! and It was on the PC Please help I really want to find this game thanks :) Nope not a flash game its a retail game :/
A good action + strategy packed all out space war game? Ok guys n gals, for the past few weeks now Ive had a massive urge to play a game (on the PC) which involves the never ending void of space followed by lasers flying passed your ears from ships that are 100x the size of your own, TOTAL mayhem with near to impossible chance of survival. When it comes to games such as these I prefer to be IN the action not above it like in Real Time strategy games, first person or third would be ideal. So, my question is... Whats the best PC space battle game out there? it would be a bonus if it involved custom builds so the craft is unique and owning a fleet or fighting along side one is preferred. thank you in advance by the way it must NOT be a online game because I want to chill out not be in competition. I have Star wars battlefront 1 and 2 on PS2, find them boring
Sims 3 on the Xbox360? Okay, so I've played the sims 2 and the majority of its expansion packs on my laptop, only my laptop is kinda old and I'm going to need it for college work more than the sims lol ... and I don't think sims 3 would run very well on it, so I was thinking of getting the sims 3 for my xbox instead? I have a few questions. I watched some gameplay on youtube and it looks alright. Is it the same as on the PC - e.g. you direct your sim to things in their home to interact with, the same as you do on PC - e.g. fridge>serve breakfast>pancakes etc ? Can you create your sims and make them completely unique and customize them like you can on PC - e.g. facial structure, clothing, weight, etc.? Can you build houses the same or do you have to just use a pre-made house? And if you build houses are the same options available as on PC, like 'Wall Tool', Shift and click to paint a whole room, etc? Is it the same on PC in the sense that you have woohoo, get married, have a job etc? In other words, what is different on the Xbox version to the PC version, aside from graphics and game performance I'm only asking these questions because I played the Sims 2 on the PSP and it was CRAP. Lol, thankyou xxx Edit: also, do you have to install expansion packs onto the xbox 360 or just buy a different game all together? How do the expansions work on the 360?

Buying a new computer...? I'm looking to buy a new desktop PC, but I don't really know much about the technical stuff. I'm looking to be able to efficiently surf the web, be able to run several windows at the same time, do moderate games, do all my photos from my digital camera, etc. I'm not looking for the basic, barebones computer, but I also don't need something over-the-top - just something that can handle moderate to sometimes heavy usage. What do you think of this package, and is HP a good brand? Intel® Pentium® Dual-Core processor E2180, 2GB DDR2 SDRAM; Windows Vista Home Premium, double-layer DVD±RW/CD-RW drive with LightScribe labeling, 500GB hard drive, NVIDIA GeForce 7100 graphics and 15-in-1 media reader 19" widescreen flat-panel LCD monitor with ultrafast 5 ms response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, Quick View modes and built-in speakers; unique stand with keyboard parking space, or wall-mountable (kit not included) HP Deskjet all-in-one printer, copier and scanner with Smart Web printing and scanning technology to restore old and damaged photos Geek Squad® 10' USB 2.0 cable with gold contacts; surge protector with 8 total outlets, including 4 widely spaced for transformers
I lost my websties/bookmarks, please recommend me some...? Hi there, 6 months ago my laptop fried itself and I've only recently just had a new one built, the trouble is I can't remember all the websites I used to hae bookmarked. I had oodles of sites, everything from gaming, to technology, to sites like prank vote (comedy) to alternative (pseudo sciences) to news sites to online marketing forum/work forums - similar to digital point to torrent sites (for legal downloads) to random/cool sites. Now as my brain has gone through and excessively tried to remember all it can I'm still sure there are sites that I have missed and left out. All the sites I used to visit made me years ahead of the game, for example, I would see something on the net 1-2 years before the masses started emailing it and showing it on tv news/stations. I've already bookmarked a ton, like youtube, twitter, dailymotion etc...but nevertheless, if you guys have any sites that are in your favourites and you think I've forgotten to add them then please share them with me. Also if you have any new sites/cool sites or even sites that have only come online in the last 6-7 months I've been without a pc/the net, then please also share them. The person with the most unique and relevant sites will be awarded the best answer. Please don't link to porn, sales sites or illegal sites of that nature. Thanks and I look forward to your contributions, kingdogol

Is Torchlight worth it? Looks kinda fun. I've been looking for a good RPG to play, but I don't know if it a lot of fun or not. I've played WoW and stuff (also, I am VERY disappointed about playing that and I really don't want Torchlight to be like that) so have any of you guys played it, and did you like it? Was it worth the $20? Any pro/cons? Anything unique? Any problems you had to deal with? (including downloading it from steam) I can't decide! Issues with red alert 2 and, Yuri's revenge expansion? i bought a copy of command and conquer (the first decade), its a great series of games, especially red alert 2. problem is, with the latest updates installed (on red alert 2) the game freezes up every time the voice over says anything (building... unit ready... etc). I know that this problem is not unique to my computer either. I also have a problem with the Yuri's revenge expansion, which wont even run at all! after the intro movie i think it freezes completely at the loading screen to go into the campaign or a skirmish. If you could help my i could almost marry you because this has been annoying me since we got the game!!! lol. and before any of you say its my computer, I've also tried it on several of my mates pc's to no avail. if you've been bothered to read all this you probably deserve the 10 points but i really need the help. thanks. i almost forgot. EA games had no idea how to help me either, so I'm hoping that someone with the same problem who has fixed it could tell me how. another thing. the lag also happened when we had Red alert 2 by itself (not the one that is part of "the first decade") Okay last thing. we've had a few different graphics cards but none work and we meet all system requirements. i also know that it is definately a software problem, but not corrupt data from the disk (as i have 2 copy's)

HELP: personal statement for university: any good?? :)? (here is it!! :P constructive feedback much appriciated!! :D ) I currently have three major interests in my life; computers, maths and music, and I feel that the combination of these three bring all their own strengths and creativity. I engage wholeheartedly in these areas both in my school courses and out of school, bringing great knowledge of all three to my skills. I hope to carry them on into the course I will choose and the extra-curricular opportunities at university. Computers have been a major part of my life from a very young age and have a wide knowledge of the use and construction of PC’s. Since the age of 4 I have been regularly using computers, and extensively building my own from the age of 10. Website design has also captured my imagination through the pure creativity of being able to create anything and being viewed by millions of people from around the world. Using the self taught knowledge of PHP and HTML, I have created many websites such as online ecommerce stores, online game clan websites, and full featured blogs and image gallery scripts. Creating over 100,000 hits a month I have been extremely successful in this field. This knowledge brings a defined logical pattern and structure. With a wide knowledge of computers and the works in conjunction with my interest in mathematics brings great capabilities of understanding the wide use of mathematics within computer sciences. I have always been interested in the world of mathematics, always wanting to solve problems. Having studied pure maths and applied maths I understand the intricate use and the ‘real world’ use of mathematics. I am intrigued by the understanding of ‘imaginary numbers’ and have looked into this idea within my spare time. Another huge aspect of my life has been music. At the age of 7 I took up playing trumpet and played in many bands, ultimately graduating to first trumpet after only a few years of playing, having played advanced pieces such as “William tell” and Tchaikovsky’s “1812 overture” . With the ability of being incredibly eager to learn and take the lead tile I have taken on many solos in the process. I can now play grade 8 piece of music with ease. 9 years later I took up playing piano, self taught, showing I have self-motivation and determination. Having a direct inspiration from my love of classical music, bringing a unique style to my music, I take great pride in writing and composing my own music. And have been asked on many occasions to have a professional recording showing great talent and ability to learn quickly and efficiently. Along side computers mathematics and music, there is an extensive entrepreneurial side to me using my knowledge of computers and internet running and controlling many successful online businesses. My main job has been a self-employed eBay business selling antique stamps to around the world, also controlling hugely successful ecommerce websites, which in total brings a comfortable and stable income for me. This shows that I have natural ability for organization and responsibility. Other hobbies I take part include stamp collection which I have been very interested in for over 10 years. Sailing has also been with me from a very young age, I have participated in some races in the local sailing club, and this taught me to appreciate the evident need for teamwork. I also keep fit by running 4 miles a week; I feel that keeping fit is a very important for ones physical and mental health. I have volunteered for local charity shops giving me valuable experience in the work place. From the course I chose to complete at university I will hope to expand my knowledge on the skills I have already learnt and hope to learn many more skills in the process. I also hope to carry on my extra-curricular studies, and bring great member to any team.

I need help deciding on which LCD HDTV to keep between Vizio and Samsng? i recently purchsed both a Vizo and Samsung LCD HDTV but i am unsure on which to keep. I will be using my tv for BLU RAY MOVIES, PLAYSATION 3, and XBOX 360. As i have been testing them both out i have noticed some things about each. The Vizio seems to be more deep in its colors as in it seems like it has a bigger color spectrum(compared to the Samsung). However the Samsung seems to be a lot bighter. For example when i am playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 on the Vizio the colors ae very rich and the screen seems to be darker (if that makes sense) while on the Samsung the picture is extremely bright but the colors are not as rich as the Vizios.I also noticed that when i am "running" in the game in a dark area the picture gets fuzzy when playing on the Samsung but when playing on the Vizio it does not. I just want to know which one will be better for my needs for an HDTV overall; also if you could include reasons why you think one is better then the other; and please all unbiased opinions.NOTE: i have both tvs set up on "vivid" picture.
