The specifications are very high for games, I THINK it might have something to do with my motherboard. My questions: 1) Can anybody find any information on my motherboard? Can it handle my DDR2/3 Graphics/RAM? 2) Is my system even compatible? 3) Why is my system so slow sometimes? I built this thing myself and works perfectly fine, until I introduce any shadows/effects to games or crack it up from Low settings to High, even on old games!

Should I get a gaming PC or the PS4?
Okay so I am saving my money right now and I'm not sure if I should get a gaming PC ($1000 in total with a GTX 660ti graphics card) or just wait for the PS4. I do like to play games solo, but you can beat the experience of playing splitscreen games with the buds by your side. The PS4 will only be $400, and the graphics in the games showcased at E3 look brilliant, but I also know that the $400 system will still not be able to compete with the graphic possibilities on a gaming PC. I do like MMOs, and the PS4 will be able to play them. There will also by PS4 exclusive games that I like and wouldn't be able to play on the PC (White Knight Chronicles on the PS3 is a prime example). So, basically I guess what I'm asking is if the $600 difference would be worth it in getting a gaming rig. Just let me know what you all think.
Consoles or PC? Which is better?
I will be getting a PC soon though for WoW at least $2000 If you want best you better give a good reason. I prefer consoles cause the controller just feels right especially for FPSs. I hate that PCs get outdated so quickly so I would have to buy a really expensive one to feel safe. Plus I want big screen 1080p.
Is this budget gaming PC good?

Im new to makng custom pc's and I want to know what kin of hardware is best for agaming computer under $1600. I have asked many other questions about Dell's and Alienware's and almost everyone has told me to custom build my own because they are hundreds cheaper and many times better. My specs are : Processor : AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 850 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.3GHz Memory : 8.00 GB Graphics Card : ATI Radeon HD 5400 Series O.S : Windows 7 64 bit I do driver updates when they come out, and yet I still get lag on the lowest settings of games from 2010+ I can't play Dead Island, Metro 2033, Skyrim, Battlefield 3, etc etc without tons of lag on the lowest settings I can afford and still enjoy game play. I am moving my entire gaming operation from PC/Console to Only console, can anyone convince me otherwise?
I used to love PC games, but constantly loosing my saved games because of computer failure, and lame graphics due to the lack of the latest and greatest hardware, have taken their toll on my enthusiasm. Constantly re-installing games is the worst thing in my entire 6 year PC gaming history. Rome Total War is the only thing keeping me at my PC, not even Sims 3 excites me anymore. I pre-ordered every Sims 2 game that ever came out, now not even Sims 3 can make me come back to PC gaming
What Hardware will i require for my PC to run latest games at decent graphics smoothly?
i want to build a computer to run games like Battlefield 3, Upcoming Assassins Creed 3, Crysis 2 and all the latest titles of 2012 that are to come mainly killing framing (game play and cut scenes) with high or at least decent graphics settings and for FPS cross hairs, when aiming through the scope to be straitened. but mainly let me know whats the cheapest motherboard I can use. okay lets say not high setting but decent settings without any framing in game play and cut scenes for now! but the cheapest mother board, that can support an i3 processor and graphics card to give the performance as mentioned above on which i can later upgrade the processor and graphics card

Realistic racing game for PC?
I'm looking for the most immersive racing experience I can get on a PC. I used to run all the Papyrus NASCAR games back in the 90s, but sadly NASCAR has disappeared from the PC since 2004, and their late games were not very realistic at all. I've run games like NFS Shift 2 and ProStreet, but my issue with these games is the lack of difficulty. A perfect example is how I was able to start NFS Shift 2 for the first time, set all the difficulty settings to the hardest (hard skill, no driver aids, manual transmission, no best line, etc.) and I can still just fly right past all the drivers. Also, I don't like the fact that you can only run 1-4 laps; I'm looking for something like NASCAR events. I want endurance racing with several hundred mile events, at least a good 20-30 cars that are competitive and run as fast as you do, and I want to be able to play out things like pit strategy, realistic brake and tire wear, mechanical failures, and a true championship run, not some "win 'em all" goal. Realistic physics and damage models are a must - I can compromise somewhat on graphics as long as it's modern. Is there anything recent (at least from '09 or newer if possible, but no older than 5 years) that will deliver on most, if not all, of these goals? PC hardware is no issue, but I will not spend $300 for a console and $200 for ANOTHER decent racing wheel for that console, just so I can spend $60 on a single game to play; it's just not reasonable.
why is there less pc gamers ?
Like.. most gamers i know ethier play on xbox 360 or ps3, at my high school it's just me and another dude that plays on Pc. why is this? Your Help will be GREATLY appreciated and of course 10 points/best answer will be awarded to you.
Why is PC gaming better than Console, or is it the other way around?
Ok so nowadays there are three major consoles out. Nintendo Wii U, Xbox One and the PS4. (Im only counting latest) With steam on the move to come out with there system there may even be a fourth, but in all honesty isn't PC gaming just better anyway? I mean yea the steam system will be best as far as a graphical system goes but isnt it just better to build a PC? I am not new to any of these gaming devices ive played the PS3 Xbox 360 and wii U. Sure each system has exclusive titles Such as God of War, Halo and The Legend of Zelda, but is it worth it? I have a high end gaming PC which i built 2 years ago. Still running strong ive just picked up bf4 for it and the game is unreal. I really am just expressing how i feel and want you guys opinions. In all honesty most gamers dont know how good the PC is. They just think too pricey. Well here is a pic that speaks a strong message. This shows how far ahead PC is and how far ahead it will stay. Top is Current systems and current game. Bottom is 2 years ago and a prequel game...... you tell me system or console? and also why lol btw i know someone will be like "but that has mods" Guess what? thats part of the PC and how amazing it is. I would have been done with Skyrim with regular in game missions and DLC, but with Nexus and Steam I have picked up loads of missions, armor, Graphics etc.. Which just make my game even better. lol also with steam mods are a click of a button thats it. so easy no hassel :D
Hardcore Gaming Hardware : PC Games?
Do you think its worth spending tons of money on the latest computer gaming hardware just to play game like crysis on super High Settings and resolutions when you can play it at Low Settings at 1024 X 768 with above 25 fps all the time ?????
ps3 or pc?
i have a doubt here..which 1 i should choose? i'm more to technical thing,i love computer and computer parts.Plus i'm planning on building a custom gaming rig with all the latest hardwares. But, i also like playing games. There are some games that i really like but it is only for ps3 like Gran Turismo 5, GTA4 etc.Well you see, i can only choose 1 either a ps3 or a pc since i don't have so much money to spend with.PS3 is not so expensive but the HDTV is... I've done some calculations and i found that buying a ps3 with the latest HDTV costs just the same as building a high performance gaming rig.... :-( so please somebody help me...
Is it a bad idea to play ultra on games for PC?
I'm building a new pc, and I want to know that if my pc can handle these games at ultra 60fps+ is it a bad idea to do it? My friend who is also getting a custom pc said that he is only going to play medium/high, not ultra so he does not burn out his hardware. My custom specs: GPU - Gigabyte Nvidia GTX760 4GB CPU - Intel Core i7 4770K Quad Core 3.50GHz PS - 700W RAM - 16G HDD - 2T I have checked for some certain games and I can handle them on ultra, so if I was going to play on ultra would it burn down hardware, etc etc. By the way - I'm a hardcore gamer so I will be playing a lot. Up to 12 hours a day. When I'm off.

How come game consoles run games better then pc's?
Every game console ever made has always played the games made for them better then some of the most high end computers made. Why is it that these consoles can play all those games better then any pc hardware? I meant in generals. Hmm I did not know that though. I Just hear and see things that would prove otherwize but maybe its not enough,
Can I run the latest Window games natively on a high-end Intel Mac via Bootcamp?
I'm interested in running the latest games on a brand new Intel Mac via Bootcamp. Will there be any potential compatibility issues? My PC needs an upgrade but I'm purchasing an Intel Mac shortly so I'm thinking maybe I could go without the upgrade and just use my Intel Mac booted to Windows for any gaming. This way I can just sell my PC too and have one computer. Is this possible, and if so, how come I don't see it more common?
What should I upgrade in my computer for gaming?

What sort of desktop PC should I get, and where should I get it?
I'm looking for a low-cost gaming PC that is highly upgradeable. I'm looking to not go crazy with price because I want to see if this is really what I want to get in to, but if I like it, I would want to add more to it. I've never really gotten into PC gaming before.
When will the next generation of consoles arrive?
I'm a console fan and when I see beautiful games like Battlefield 3 and skyrim take a graphical slap when their put on to consoles it saddens me. Consoles are seriously starting to lag behind but I'm not wealthy enough to buy the latest graphics card for my pc every month. When asked Microsoft and Sony usually say that games are still not using the full potential of the hardware, but this is hard to believe when we see graphical cuts taking place in the latest games.

what are the drawbacks of using a server for a pc?
ok so im toying with the idea of building a 'powerhouse' pc and started thinking about using a server instead of a desktop pc what are the drawbacks if any to this? and are the graphics cards just like a standard desktop (easily ugraded) and are they even capable of running the latest games and 3d design tools etc, also am i right when i think that servers can have more 'blades' added at later dates to increase power of the machine? if so any recommendations? thanks in advance
How much would all my Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 things cost?
I'm in a pickle. I got BF4 for computer and then realized that I didn't like those kind of games on PC. For one, the graphics barely kept up, and I also like having the console feel. I do play PC games though, so I'm trying to keep it all my consoles organized, because I hate having to decide between X360, PS3, or PC. Therefore, I think I'm going to sell my Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 and then get the PS4 when it comes out. I believe that'd be a good choice, but I'd like to know how much I would get for selling all my stuff on Ebay. Also, not sure about hardware specs for either console, so just give me a general range and I'll clear it up later. Xbox 360 : Console, cords, 1 controller, Kinect, GTA4, Motionsports, Gameparty in motion, Kinect Adventures, Fallout 3, Skyrim, Halo reach, Crackdown 2 Playstation 3 : Console, cords, 1 controller, burnout paradise, borderlands 2, fifa soccer 13, shaun white, warhawk, rockband 3, rockband 2, the beatles rockband, call of duty black ops, ncaa football 11, call of duty black ops 2, mirrors edge, MW2 (2 copies), Uncharted 2, Transformers, Operation Flashpoint : Dragon Rising, Tom Clancy's End War 2, and also all of the rockband equipment. How much do you think I would get?
What other things do you need if you are building a gaming PC?

What can I do to stop computer games from crashing my PC?
Within the last week, every game I play on my computer has crashed within minutes of play. I tried updating my video card driver, because that is the most common cause of game crashes. I was optimistic, and it seemed like the game resisted crashing a few minutes longer than it usually takes, but nontheless the crashing continues. Any other suggestions? I have already tried restoring my PC; it didn't work. I'm certain I don't have a virus; my computer shows no symptoms of malicious activity, and only games are the problem. And yes, I have updated my video card, and that didn't stop the crashing. Also, I have cleaned my hardware, including the video card and heat sink. There are two fans in there, so it's probably not a heat problem.
What security software should I use for my PC?
I'm running a Windows 8 computer mainly for gaming. That's pretty much all I use it for, although I have noticed that sometimes I've wandered into that unsafe, virus filled side of the internet, but very rarely. I currently use Bitdefender total security, and it's about to expire. I'm starting to wonder if i really need all the features that the 80 dollar program contains. What would be a good software for my purposes for the lowest price? Thanks in advance.
What kind of PC should I use to run MAME?
I'm looking for a cheap PC that I can use to build a MAME console. I've been told I don't need an expensive PC, even a 10 year old one will do. I'm just having trouble finding the right one on ebay, does anyone know what models of older PC I can get? I don't feel like spending over $100.00 or even $50 if I can get away with it.
Is it worth it to buy a very good gaming laptop and expensive accessories?
I currently have $3000 to spend on laptop and games. I want to buy a very good gaming laptop for all the Starcraf 2 games, and battlefield games. Those are the only games I like right now, and I can't find any other games I like. So is it worth it to buy the best gaming laptop or should I just find a decent laptop? If it's worth it, what's the best brand? Should I spend money on gaming accessories like wireless headset which cost $200?
Does the Alienware X51 work on a regular computer moniter?
I've been looking to start saving for the Alienware X51 as a gaming pc and there's a bunch of stuff everywhere about using it in your living room. Can you just use it on a regular computer monitor like you would with an Acer computer or something? If not, what are some other gaming pc's that can run CoD and BF games. Or, what are some pc's that you recommend more than the X51. I would not want to go much over the $1000 US dollar range, so keep it around there. Also, I want to run dual monitors, one for gaming and one for web browsing and stuff. Thanks to any answers :D Also, if you suggest something else, I would want an i7 processor, a good Nividia graphics card, and a really good amount of memory so I never have to worry about running out. Thanks again to anyone who answers :D
What's the cheapest way to get a good quality gaming desktop?
I want to be able to play the big pc games like battlefield, skyrim, etc. but I don't have too much money to spend on a new computer. I'm not expecting to get a good computer for really cheap, but I'm asking for the cheapest, good desktop for this, whether it be upgrading a cheap desktop or building it from scratch. I know someone who would be able to build it as I am not too experienced with the hardware. I would also like it to be able to livestream the games without any lag. I don't know too much about computer hardware so please explain as if I am completely new to the concept.
How to improve fps and reduce lagging for BF4 beta PC?

This is what my laptop has: -Processor: AMD A8-4500M APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 1.90GHz -RAM: 8GB Windows 8 I tried updating my driver but I cannot seem to find my driver on the amd site. I want to start getting an idea of the gaming rig I want to put together soon, help?
I'm no pro at computer hardware, but within the next year I want to start putting together a somewhat epic gaming rig, something that won't go obsolete in a while, and something that will run games at their maximum. I need some help choosing a pre-built, yet upradeable desktop. I can get the accessories myself. Where should I start looking at pre-built computers? I will upgrade them later on, but I need one that will perform extremely well without having to be upgraded right away. Thanks!
Should I wait for the 32nm i7 or should I buy an i7 now?
I want to buy a gaming rig. The price is no barrier at all. Should I go ahead and buy an i7 extreme right now with latest hardware and software or should I wait another year to upgrade to 32nm? My PC is 4 years old so as you guys know it cannot run latest games. Will the i7 32nm be better than the one right now?
What do i need to know if i wish to build a normal pc that is value for money yet give good performance?
What will an average pc of today need inside it ,in terms of hardware? Also, what are the current standards of hardware components, which are value for money, and deliver exceptional performance. Pls advice on brands of the hardware also. How long can they last? What other addition can be made and their purpose.Preferably like to hear views from singaporeans and malaysians since i'm living in Singapore for prices and availability of components.

I've been wanting to buy a gaming pc because console gaming has been getting boring but I don't have the money. Wen I do get a job I plan on buying something not too expensive but will later plan on upgrading its hardware or graphics card to be up to date and to play battlefield 4

High-end Gaming PC or Xbox360?
As a kid, I always had the desire to buy the best PC hardware. Regardless, the best graphics card is overkill for today's PC games. It also costs $600.00 and how many games maximize its capabilities? Crysis seems to be the only game I'm interested in that does. I have hard time justifying $2500.00 for a gaming PC when the Xbox360 has a larger selection of next-generation games. The PC has a larger selection of games, but most games released beyond the year 2004 do not take advantage of the latest hardware. The Xbox360's games' graphics are not quite as good as Crysis's graphics, but there's the price difference too. A good HDTV and an Xbox360 costs about $1,300. I have a desire for a high-end gaming PC though.. Is a $2500 gaming PC more worthy than an Xbox360?

What nVidia gpu is recommended for the latest PC games?
I am planning on upgrading my GPU soon on my ASUS pc. I plan on playing intensive games like Crysis 2, BF3 and Borderlands 2. My PC has some pretty high end hardware, except for the gpu(GT 520 2gb). What GPU is recommended if I have: -w7 64bit home premium -ASUS Motherboard Deluxe series (SATA, SLI/Crossfire, USB3.0) -intel core i7 at 3.4 ghz(boost to 3.9) -16gb RAM dual channel -1.5 tb hdd -550watt power supply(already have the money to buy one just need to find a good one made for gaming) I am looking into getting a gtx 500 series or gtx 600, but I am looking to see which one is recommended. I am on a budget. Thank you for the support
Will apple make a game console. or will pc gaming rise?
lately I feel that PC is like an unsung hero.. I own a mac but I don't underestimate pc, you can have the best gaming experience of all with pc (Battle Field 3, MW3, Batman Arkham City, Skyrim) games that consoles also play. I feel maybe later pc maybe big for all gamers a like. If Apple made their own Console would it be a good idea, and would it cause big competition against the other consoles since Apple in a lot of ways you can use their hardware for gaming.

Which CPU and Graphics Card should I choose for my ultimate gaming PC?
Correct me if Im wrong but I think the most important hardware in a gaming PC is the CPU and Video Card. Please help me choose the CPU and GPU that you think will most fit my purpose. Please dont just choose the most expensive ones because I am taking the price into consideration and want to build a PC that will do everything I need at a minimal price. My Purpose for this computer is hardcore gaming. I have longed for a computer that can run the latest Shooting and Racing games on MAX graphics without any lag.Examples(Crisis, Call of Duty World at War, Rainbow Six, Battlefield, Need for Speed Undercover/Shift, GTR Evolution, Race 07, GTR 2). Which of these do you think will do the job, if any. Also, I was wondering if a low GHz Tri Core is better than a High Ghz(3.2Ghz) Dual Core. Do all games support 3 Cores. And for GPU's, is 512MB GRRD5 better than 1GB GDDR3. Which one of these will do the job(if any)? PC Gaming or Xbox 360 Gaming???
A couple of years ago when I was 13 I was reading about the process of building pc's, and decided I wanted to do that myself, so I saved up my money all summer and I bought all the parts and followed the guide in a magazine and built my pc. It was great and all, but now it's two years later and my pc is out of date. After purchasing windows vista, my games began to run even slower, and now I can't run anything at all with a good framerate. I was frustrated so last christmas I asked for an xbox 360. I knew I wouldn't have to worry about game/hardware compatability. It's fun, but I play on a crappy 20" tv. I also really haven't found any game's that truly grabbed my attention. There was one game i particular though, that I absolutely loved. Elder scrolls Oblivion holds the spot as my favorite video game ever, but it's also available on PC. I happened to play it on 360. So now I've got two choices, I can upgrade my PC or get new speakers and stuff for my 360. ??? Here's the status for me on both platforms for those of you who care: PC Geforce 7900GT Amd Athlon 64 3000+ (939) Nforce 4 SLI edition 2gb DDR400 80GB HD 600w psu 16" CRT monitor My case has broken and disfunctional usb ports along with a broken cover on the front, I would need a new one. Favorite Game: Half-Life 2 Others: Guild Wars, BF2142 Xbox 360 Premium Console 20" Flat Tube SDTV w/built in crappy speakers gaming chair w/ crappy speakers (don't use) I fell more immersed when I play on my PC, but I just don't know about the cost.... 360 Favorite Game: Elder Scrolls Oblivion Others: Call of Duty 4, Gears

Do you think PC gaming has lots its edge to console gaming?
I think so. When I was teenager, I always bought the latest hardware to play Quake1, Quake2 and Quake3 in maximum quality. Nothing on a console could come close to Quake1's, Quake2's and Quake3's graphics. Consoles had few multiplayer games and there was not one FPS, multiplayer game, that could compare to Quake1, Quake2 or 3. A keyboard and mouse are better controls than any console controller... I think PC gaming has lost its edge. Very few game developers develope games exclusively for the PC. Crysis on the PC looks insignificantly better than most Xbox360 and PS3 games. Other than the keyboard and mouse controls, it does not offer better gameplay than most Xbox360 and PS3 first person shooters. The graphics card market's prices are flawed. If you are willing to pay a ridiculous premium for a geforce 8800 ultra then you might be able to run Crysis in maximum quality. Is it worth thousands of dollars for an insignificant difference in graphics? Personally, I do not think so. ID Software's next big game will not be a PC exclusive.

Gaming pc for $2500?
The main reason im asking this question is to get ppls opinions on all the parts. I know quite a bit about pc hardware so dont be afraid to get technical :) . Anyway as far as I know Quad cores are still not worth the money as most software/games are only suited to 1/2 cpu's, so im probably looking for a core 2 duo around 2.66, im debating between getting 1 really good graphics card and then adding another later on or geting 2 average ones now, so please let me know what you think. I do plan to install the 64bit version of xp aswell. In terms of ram im looking at 800mhz as it is really cheap and 1066+ doesnt seem to provide any significant performance increase considering its 2x the price. for a HDD im looking between 76GB - 150Gb, those are the two raptor sizes I believe. I remember seagate use to produce one called Cheetah at 12000rpm or 15000, please tell me if you know whats happening with that. I also wanted to get water cooling with the case and a good monitor 17+".
What is the most cost effective gaming PC setup today, November 2010?
I would please like to know what is the cheapest gaming PC setup I can build that will be able to play the latest Xbox, PS3 games and online games such as World of Warcraft effectively without any performance issues or bottle necks. I need to know the exact hardware up to the PSU. If you know a complete setup of parts that I could buy and maybe why this setup is the best and cheapest please let me know, I would greatly appreciate your help and I need to buy as many individual setups as I can afford within my budget of R20,000 or $2,900. Thanks Thanks King P your suggestion really makes me consider buying pre-built branded PC's as I didn't realize they were going so cheap. Although I would really like to see if someone has an idea of a setup(that they know works) that I can build myself without the case or drives though that might work out much cheaper so I could build up to 8 if it's possible. I want to setup up a gaming LAN as part of a computer/IT project for an NPO I work with in South Africa as a source of income to sustain and expand the project. At the moment the 4 compaq Evo's we have are very outdated and barely sufficient for web browsing in our small e-cafe and the project is running at a constant loss. My knowledge of the latest computer hardware, especially PC gaming could use some help. The upgrade will also be used for free computer training so I am under abit of pressure here. Thanks for any suggestions in advance, I will keep checking.

Some questions on my first build on a Gaming pc?
I just bought all the parts I need to build my first pc. Now I know I'm a little late to this (building a pc and buying the new hardware), there are i'7's and i5's that are leading the way and I decided to buy the discontinued lga 775 motherboard and cpu. Heres a list of what I have so far. Case: Cooler Master RC-690-KKN1-GP Motherboard: Asus Extreme Rampage X48 DDR3 Cpu: Intel core 2 quad Q9550 2.83 Ghz (EO) Stepping 1333 fsb Memory: Patriot Extreme Performance 4GB (2 x 2GB) 1600 MHZ PDC34G1600ELK Hard Drive: Western Digital Caviar Black 640 GB Cpu Cooler: Zalman CNPS 9500 A Power Supply: Corsair TX 750 Watt Cd/dvd Drive: Lite on DVD Drive Video Card: Asus Dark knight 4870 1gb OS: windows 7 professional 64 bit Now I know I could've bought something better (like the new i7 with x58 motherboard) and I'm an idiot not for buying the new stuff, but I've been stuck with a crappy dell xps 410 with a old core 2 duo and a 32 bit vista. There are some things that are running through my head and I was hoping someone could answer this. 1. I know that the extreme rampage is really picky when it comes to memory, as you can see from the memory I chose, I was wondering if that memory, being at 1600 mhz already, is compatible with a cpu with only 1333 fsb. (Im planning to overclock it,so that way it can remain stable but I'm wondering if the computer will boot into the bios safely without having any problems) 2. I know there arent any drivers in the asus website for windows 7 but the generic drivers can be found on a disc or website correct? 3. For overclocking, Should I download the latest drivers for the motherboard first? or should I do that after I overclock. 4. What will I expect after everything is put in? There are other questions but I can't think of it atm. I know I'm a noob, I admit it but I've always wanted to build a pc with those components and I haven't gotten the chance to buy it when they first came out. Hopefully someone can answer my questions and help me in the later future. Thank you! Hey Josh, thanks for replying, um I want it overclocked to like 3.5 ghz, I know I need to raise the fsb from 333 to like 402 or something, but does that mean I have to leave everything on Auto or manually change everything else?
Should I get into PC gaming?
I've always been heavy console gamer. I've always found consoles to be convenient, stress free ways to enjoy video games, that as of late serve not only for gaming but for tons on "living room entertainment" pleasures. In the past I've dived into pc gaming (elder scrolls especially) and I've been wondering that with a new generation of consoles coming in the next 1-2 years, should I go into the realm of pc gaming completely? The main disadvantages from my point of view is that pc gaming can be very expensive with hardware and acessorices, plus even for people with a lot of experience with computers, managing mods and files can be annoying and complicated at times. Another gripe is that I wouldn't be able to play games like Zelda or Final Fantasy (in fact my favorite games of all time are console exclusive). What do you think, should I make the switch? Leave your thoughts down below, I'm really interested. Thanks!
is it normal if I don't feel interested in love or dating?
I just don't see the fucking point why do I need a girlfriend when I can have a pc gaming rig with all the latest hardware a 1080p monitor gaming mouse and keyboard with 64 gb usb plugged in too boost the pc speed with an expenise sound system and a nice coforntable gaming chair and water cooling why would I need a girlfriend or a wife or kids when I could have that.
How do you manually destroy your desktop PC?
This is quite odd as you may be able to find lots of queries and posts on how to take care of your computer, but I'm asking of ways of "sabotaging" my own desktop to make it look like it breaked down. I'm currently using a 900mhz 128mb ram Athlon PC and quite frankly, I'm getting tired of it being slow and very unresponsive and not able to run the latest high graphic PC games. Therefore, I'm just looking for ways to kill my computer via damage in its hardware maybe? In its mother board or something that would be beyond repair that would force my folks to buy a new desktop. What my cousin suggested is to press the manual reset button in the PC cause it really damages something inside it, so I'm looking for other ways to do the damage, thanks
Connecting 2 PCs for gaming?

Need help on PC's Hardware?
I need help from someone who knows what they're talking about. I have a not-so-powerful gaming PC, that has seen better days. With the coming of Christmas, I'm thinking on getting some new parts. Problem is, I don't have an infinite budget, around 400-500€.. This is my current PC specs: Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 @ 2.13Ghz Nvidia GeForce 9500 GT 512RAM HDD 300Gb + External HD 1000Gb 4Gb DDR RAM (it's the oldest ram type) It's something around this.. I want to upgrade my CPU, but to do that I'll have to upgrade my motherboard and therefor my RAM since I'll be changing to DDR2. I want to upgrade my GFX card as well, but that's secondary, and I can wait for a later date.. So for now I want to spend around 250-350€ Just upgrading my Motherboard, my CPU and my RAM.. The other 150€ I want to spend on a better GFX card... Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks a *LOT*! Thanks on the answer, and yes the main reason is for gaming. I want to improve the CPU because I think some of the lag and loading times is due to the fact the speed of the CPU is starting to fall behind. I think a CPU @ 3.00Ghz would do the trick, but if you say that the GFX card upgrade is enough, then I'll discard the rest..?

PC Gaming on Intel Macs?
I'm looking to get a really good desktop computer, and for professional music reason's I want it to be a Mac. However, being a gamer I know that the majority of the game's I'd like to play are PC exclusives. I know that as of late, due to the Intel hardware of new Mac's you are able to run most PC software on them via various utilities (Boot Camp, Parallels, Fusion, etc.). So my question is whether that applies to Graphics/RAM intensive games, such as The Orange Box (Halflife 2, Portal & Team Fortress). Are you able to run these well on a fairly high-end Mac? Thanks for the help so far. A couple of things: I am ONLY interested in Mac's. Thanks for your opinion on PC's though. I've been looking at configurations of Mac Pro's. I am trying to figure out what kind of specs I need: - Should I go with 2.8ghz, 3.0ghz, or 3.2ghz dual-quad processors? - Should I go with 2, 4, 8, 16, or 32 GB of ram? - Which of the following graphics cards would be acceptable: ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 256MB (Two dual-link DVI) 2 x ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB (Two dual-link DVI) 3 x ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 256MB 4 x ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT 256MB NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 1.5GB (Stereo 3D, two dual-link DVI) Keep in mind that I would like to keep the price down... but more importantly, I want something powerful enough to handle fairly intensive audio work as well as decently handle games.
PC Gaming Graphics and Connection Issues (TF2) Question?
Hi, before I tell you all what my problem is, let me give you my specs. AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ @ 3.00 GHz 3.00 GB of RAM Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT 256MB Windows Vista w/ Service Pack 1 (I play all games on a 1440x900 Ok, now here's the problem(s). I get some serious lag when playing games like Medieval 2 Total War, or COD2 on even medium settings. (about 25-30FPS). But I run games like COD4 and Left 4 Dead on the same settings and get over a 40FPS increase. Is it just that my old graphics card can't keep up with the new widescreeen monitor I got (1440x900)? Oh and btw I have installed all the latest drivers for my hardware, and still get these issues. Ok, now for the second part; it's more about a specific game: Team Fortress 2. For some reason I get major lag issues even when playing on servers where I see a latency of 28-39. It does lag more when in intense combat, but it's interesting because I have this problem in none of the other games I own. Any possible fixes? Thanks a lot in advance, and of course 10 points to the person who can help me out the best! : P
Please HELP with pc spec advice. Brain fried!?
Hi All... :) Pls help me make best choice for gaming pc. Im only days away from buying new pc for gaming and would appreciate advice for better gaming hardware. Im unsure about the whole debate on nVidia, AMD / ATI Radeon brand names or (ASUS) equip. I like nVidia gfx cards but was told to go with AMD / ATI. I would like to keep the $ under $250. Should I go a SLI mainboard for future upgrade option? I was told 1GB cards are not much better than 512MB cards for the $ What mainboard do you recommend if I go single gfx card now but want to upgrade to SLI later? Do both cards have to be the same for SLI? Is runnuning DDR3 rather than DDR2 equip worth the xtra $? Should gfx card and RAM both be same DDR? RAM - Is Kingston OK? or should I pay xtra for Corsair? I can go 8GB but will first try 4GB RAM. CPU - Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450 2.66Ghz FSB1333 12MB Mainboard - UNSURE? Any ideas? Power Supply - Tagan 600w HDD - WD or Seagate / SATA II or IDE 500GB Ideas Pls help!

Hardware problem: "PC DISPLAY SETTING CORRECT?"?
A game that worked just fine this morning seems to be triggering hardware problems just a few hours later. This computer is less than 2 weeks old and the game is 3 years old, so it's way over the minimum requirements. Every time I try to start the game, the screen goes black and "PC DISPLAY SETTING CORRECT?" shows up in magenta letters. I can hear the audio just fine, and if I alt-tab out of the game, my display goes back to normal and every thing works fine. If I alt-tab back to the game, the screen goes black again and I get the same error message. It is not a memory problem, the task manager shows that it is using about 11 kb of memory and I have 2 gb of RAM. It's also using less than 1% of the CPU. I can't figure this out. Games that are way more demanding work just fine, and like I said this game was working just fine a few hours ago. I tried changing the resolution, and unfortunately that did not work.

Newbie PC gaming upgrade questions...?
So for example, I would like to play Elder Scrolls IV - so I need to upgrade some hardware. Current stats: 1. Windows XP 2. Pentium 4 2.20Ghz 3. No idea what my motherboard is 4. Antique NVIDIA Geforce Ti4600 Video card 5. Just put in DVD read/write drive. 6. 512 RAM 7. I'm fine with my sound card for now. I've been trying to find out what the Ti4600 V card is-AGP, PCI, or PCI-e to determine if I could just swap out? I know I probably need to find out what my motherboard is to determine if I need to upgrade that before the V.card? I'm considering upgrading the processor later, but know I would probably need new motherboard then. If I upgrade Video card-w/o upgrading M.board, what should I get that will work with XP? Would I need more RAM still? I would appreciate all possible scenarios, but dont' want to spend a fortune, just something that would run these newer games. I know nothing of installing or what to look for in the hardware specs. thanks, I appreciate it
What's a good program to run diagnoastics on all your hardware?
I keep getting the bluescreen crash, usually when I let the PC sit idle for too long. The latest message was pfn_list_corrupt; bccode: 4e. I want to test all the hardware inside (rather than hunting down then updating all the drivers). When I had a Dell it game with a diagnostic disk (this PC is homebuilt).
