Good gaming PC deal for the hardware? I found these two pc's in a quick search for desktops, and they seem like a pretty good deal, although I'm wary to buy an emachine or an iBuyPower for that matter... I'm looking for a pc that can handle games like Crysis 2, WoW, and other's of that type, that require better than average specs. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=12347221#ShortReviewTitleBar http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=12534589

Good games for PC? (no hardware restriction)? So, I'm gonna get a gaming desktop and here's the games I'm planning on playing: League of Legends World of Warcraft (not so much) Battlefield 3 Skyrim Arma ll Some cods, not that much though...I got the PS3 for that :) Minecraft AC Many other games that I wanna download. Overall, this question is for requests on what to play. I pretty much play anything :)
Can anyone recommend a good gaming PC? I've done a little background research and I definitely want to get a desktop, primarily used for gaming with a certain amount of other things. I'm on a somewhat tight budget so I can't really afford to go over £1000 in total, ideally around the £700 area. The trouble is, I don't really have a clue about hardware and how much of it games need/utilise. In short I want a desktop which will run games as well as possible for that budget. I don't care about brand (if any) as long as it'll run well and won't break within days of me getting it because this is intended to last a while. Thanks.
Is it worth building my own gaming PC or just sticking with my Xbox? Hi, Tomorrow I'm going to the store to get all the components to build my PC and it's going to cost roughly £600 (I'm 16 so it's quite a bit of money for me), I was going to be building a gaming one and it is going to be a good one, but I also have a Xbox 360 but I really only go on it to play Halo Reach and talk to friends, Do you think it'll be worth making this PC? Games always seem to be cheaper on PC (literally some games like Dead Island is £20 to pre-order on PC) So do you think I should build it? if I did what good exclusive PC games should I get? Thanks.
Should I get a gaming PC or the PS4? Okay so I am saving my money right now and I'm not sure if I should get a gaming PC ($1000 in total with a GTX 660ti graphics card) or just wait for the PS4. I do like to play games solo, but you can beat the experience of playing splitscreen games with the buds by your side. The PS4 will only be $400, and the graphics in the games showcased at E3 look brilliant, but I also know that the $400 system will still not be able to compete with the graphic possibilities on a gaming PC. I do like MMOs, and the PS4 will be able to play them. There will also by PS4 exclusive games that I like and wouldn't be able to play on the PC (White Knight Chronicles on the PS3 is a prime example). So, basically I guess what I'm asking is if the $600 difference would be worth it in getting a gaming rig. Just let me know what you all think.
Regarding PC gaming hardware..? I've always been a console gamer but now I have the biggest urge to play WoW and figure out all that jazz. I don't have awesome Alienware gear..I have an e machine. So uh, couple of questions: 1. What would be an estimate of how much I'd spend on upgrading its video card n stuff (er, what would I need to change & any suggestions on "starter" equipment for pc gaming?) 2. Or would I be better off purchasing a new gaming comp? Thanks.
A Gaming PC configuration ? Hey.. I was looking forward to get a new Desktop PC. My old one is not enough to support Latest games. I already have a PlayStation 2. But since, All latest games are either coming up on PS3 or PC, I wanted to get a new PC, with some Good Gaming configuration. A Person who deals in Assembling Gaming PCs suggested me the following configuration : AMD 7750 Processor 2 GB RAM NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT 1GB Windows Vista 500 GB Hard Disk I don't have much knowledge about the Configuration, But he came up with a Total of around 17k for the CPU. I want to play games like Crysis, GTA4, Assassins Creed etc. Can someone tell me whether this configuration is OK or NOT ? Or Suggest me a Good configuration (NOT TOO COSTLY) to run Latest PC games ? Thank-you!
PC Gaming Hardware Question? Hi, im having problems with my computer playing certain games (like bioshock), it runs i can play it but it is at extremely low framerates i can play it at max settings with low framerates a 2.60 celeron processor(it sucks) ATI Radeon X1650 Pro 512MB AGP Graphics Card 768 of ram, which i just upgraded to 1.5 gig a creative 24 bit pci sound card a soyo motherboard p4vgm that only supports 4x which might be the problem well the thing is, i dont have allot of money right now, so i cant get a new computer, i would like to know if i would upgrade to a 8x motherboard compatible with my system, would it increase the perfomance to the point that i can run the game smoothly? is it worth just getting a new computer (in a very long time from now) or is changing the motherboard going to do the trick? thanks for the help thx for the answer but for now i can only get or not get the motherboard, cant afford a graphics card or another part, would it still be worth it?
Basic hardware and software requirements for a gaming PC? Well, I am doing my first ever custom built gaming PC. Need to know the basic requirements for building one, and I am not much of a computer nerd, so it would be nice if you could keep the computer talk to a minimum, if you get my drift. There is no real budget, as long as each individual item stays under 200$. I already have a few computer cases as options, so no need to worry about that, unless thee is a real need to worry. In a nutshell, just some basic requirements for a great gaming PC, like hard drive, etc.

Custom gaming pc? I hope I'm not asking for much. I want a game pc so bad but I don't know where to start. Could someone out there possibly, just maybe tell me everything that is in your pc? This is for pc gamers only.
First Gaming Pc for...? I am trying to find a gaming pc for about $800, maybe $900 if it's worth it. If anyone has recently bought one or just feels like selecting the parts for me that would be awesome :) I'm not really looking to run every new game on ultra but would enjoy to play some newer games on about medium graphics with ease. I have been messing around on the cyberpower custom config. but it doesn't seem to have that great of selections after you step below the $1,000 mark. If I can get better parts by ordering the parts individually and build it myself then that's what I would like to do. This is my first build so I pretty much just need something to get me going. Any help is appreciated :p

PC hardware and PC gaming questions? I have 3 question (a lot, I know right?) the first is, is it safe to use a computer with the side pannel removed and a desk fan blowing on the hardware so it doesn't overheat? Second is, would I be able to do some moderate gaming on an AMD Athlon II x4 650 (3.2ghz) for a few months? I would replace it eventually. Last is, is the SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6770 an okay card for modrate gaming? I don't mind playing on medium settings. Thanks for the help!!!
Give your feed back on pc gaming and hardware? i am sick of people saying you need a a high end computer and an expensive card ect for playing games people bitch to much about frame rates that in most games you will not notice i purchased a 50$ Biostar N68S3+ mobo a $60 Zotac Gt 440 512mb Core 810 mhz 96 processing cores GPU paired with a phenom II x2 565 3.40Ghz Cpu also 4gig 1333 mhz ram and i max Flight sim X out with no lag and find myself tweaking for more and last night i played the mass effect 3 demo maxed TES V Skyrim Maxed out again very smooth no lag so my opinion is the PC industry is a money Racket and people are either miss lead with no real experience performance is not always in the price but if you would like to comment on how you feel about PC Gaming Feel Free i will admit there are bad Graphics cards out there but then again my cheap Zotac proves it's not always in the price a guy asked if his i5 is good for gaming and a person replied it's ok but i would get an i7 man Fuck i7 i am murdering Games with a Phenom 565 BE i am plying games Maxed out that means res also and to the dud below i am not Crying lmao and i have an xbox but i love pc an i am actually taking up for the pc gamer it is the rich people who have always had expensive stuff that have no experience with low budget hardware because they never tried it that will tell you money makes performance and also to the Billy Mays Dude i don't care if your Certified i am self certified been learning Computers since i was 12 computers have always been my hobby i don't need a paper saying i know my stuff learning come from experience and how much you explore study and show interest no College can give you that now i am 24 and i can say you may have been buying hardware for 7 years but i have been working with what i am for the pc gamer meant to say working with what i can afford well mass effect 3 looked bad ass last night the textures and facial features believe me the games look good if they didn't i would not have built my new budget gaming rig and to answer your question jhon c i am playing skyrim at 1280x720 i haven't tried changing it higher but as for flight sim x a very cpu intensive game 1920x1080x16 Smooth and believe me it looks great btw this is a Hardware Discussion if you have a low budget gaming pc post your specs and reviews you will find that it's not the price but the hardware and setup some low end hardware will out run high end hardware with the cost to performance Ratio the proof is in the pudding of course i will buy a better card than the GT 440 512mb but it's funny how well it performs for a mid Range card it's not the memory that makes a GPU fast it's how fast the CPU can Translate Store and Process Data to work with the GPU i don't use all of the 512 mb i am just using a cheap card factory core clock 810 my clock 855mhz and keep in mind not all processors motherboards are the same and you may not get what is Shown Same goes for GPUs

I need advice on high-end gaming PC hardware upgrades? hey guys! ok so i got my PC for gaming a year or so ago, but i finally got a job again, so i'm hoping to be able to upgrade it for games like crysis 2 and stuff when they come out. these are my spec right now: Processor: intel core i7 920 @ 2.67ghz (4 cores) Motherboard: MSI x58 platinum SLI LGA 1366 intel x58 ATX intel motherboard HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB RAM: 12GB DDR3 (6 sticks @ 2GB ea) GPU: Geforce gtx 285 1GB 512-bit GDDR3 PCIe 2.0 SLI ready PSU: antec earthwatt 650w (SLI & crossfire ready) ----- i want to upgrade mainly my GPU and PSU most likely. i was looking at maybe something from the gtx 400 series, but i hear that they suck up a lot of power and a dual 200 series is a better way to go. so i was thinking of getting another gtx 285 so i can use the dual SLI (i already got the cable link for them). my questions are these: 1) which is better for having just one GPU: the ATI radeon HD 5000 series, or nvidia GTX 400 series? 2) which is better for using dual GPUs: ATI cards, or nvidia? honestly i've used nvidia my whole life so i don't know that much about ATI's cards. 3) also, my PSU is only 650watts, i'm pretty sure i'd need to upgrade it to handle 2 GPUs. what is a good PSU brand + amount of watts that can handle it comfortably? and if i don't get 2 GPUs, can it handle a single high-end GPU like a gtx400/radeon 5000 series? if anyone can give me some advice on these questions, i would really appreciate it! thanks so much =)

Is this a sufficient gaming PC? Ok i recently bought an HP Pavilion Slimline S5620f and have heard nothing but good things about it. BUT I cant seem to find a review about it on its gaming performance. I was wondering if it would be able to play these games at once. -WoW with all the expansions. With medium settings at least -Starcraft2. With medium settings. i am willing to drop about 300 dollars into it on a new graphics card and power system to boot but is its factory hardware good enough to play these games i would rather not spend the cash unless its neccesary. The PC also has a 3 GB ram. Thx -Mike
Playing Skyrim on PC? Can anyone help me?? I just bought Skyrim for PC. I'm a huge ES fan, but I've always played on an Xbox console. I bought the PC version because I wanted to play with mods, but I've had nothing but trouble since downloading. This is my first PC game. I'm playing on a relatively new computer. Windows 7. Just bought it about a year and a half ago - and I've taken care of it, so I don't understand why everything is messing up all of a sudden. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Skyrim, Steam, GameStop app, and Nexus Mod manager. How many programs do I need to play one fricking game?! First, the game is choppy, and sometimes it lags. And the sound and picture are out of sync. The first time I played it, I had to alt+ctrl+del. I JUST downloaded it, so it's not like it's a mod slowing it down. (For the record, after fiddling a while, I have one mod so far, it's about the only thing I've figured out so far...Deus Mons.) Second, as I've been playing ES on Xbox my whole life, the keyboard/mouse controls are just NOT going to happen for me. Worst case scenario, I'll just have to live with it, but if possible, I'd REALLY like to play with the controller. I have my wireless Xbox 360 controller (taken from my Xbox), and have since downloaded this: http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/d/xbox-360-wireless-controller-for-windows I'm not even sure I downloaded the right thing, but it was worth a shot. I've heard that it can be done, but I can't figure it out. As expected, the computer is completely unphased by the controller. I realize you can't just turn a random controller on and expect the computer to respond. I know it CAN be done, I just don't know how. And yes, I've already consulted mother Google. Nada. I know nothing about resolutions or files or things of that nature. Any help you could give me would be phenomenal. Even better if you could explain how to fix it so an Xbox junkie like me could understand.
PC game video hardware error? I have installed Oblivion on my laptop and whenever I try to play the game an error comes up that says 'won't detect video hardware' and then another that says 'failed to initialize render'. How do I fix this?

Gaming PC Build Advice? I have never tried pc gaming and I need some advice for what kind of hardware I should buy for a gaming pc. I also figured that because I have an old desktop computer, I could use some of the parts like the case, hard drive (640 gb), and disk reader. So my questions are.... Do I need a different motherboard other than the one I salvaged from the old computer? Would an Intel Core i3 3220 processor be a smart buy? What cheap ($100 -$150, if possible) graphics card would you recommend that can play max settings on most games? (The TV I would use is a 1080p 19 inch) How many watts should the power supply be? Is 4gb of DDR2 ram enough, or should I just buy different ram? Any advice will be very much appreciated, for I am extremely overwhelmed with the amount of factors and options that pc gaming computer hardware has to offer.
Is it already possible to emulate both XBOX 360 and PS3 games in a computer? I know many (not all, though) PS2 games can be already emulated in a computer. And what about PS3 and XBOX 360 games? What pc hardware requirements would be necessary for that?

What do you need to be the "ultimate gamer"? I'm a 14 y.o. boy who would seriously like to become the ultimate hardcore gamer, but I don't know where to start. I'm already the most serious gamer in my group of friends, and want to bring it even further. Any suggestions (best games, consoles, gaming PC hardware?) is it practical to use a gaming PC for homework, like word docs and research? i'm planning on building a pc on my own (i could use help with that; if someone could offer some advice on the hardware specs i should shoot for, that would be helpful- on a different question), and i'm planning on putting it in my room, but the only way that will happen is if i use it for homework. is that a smart idea? homework wouldn't use much memory, if it's just word documents and such, but is there another reason why i shouldn't use a gaming PC for homework?

Because I want a gaming PC but I want to avoid buying things made by communism or slavery.I heard that Nvidia makes the cards themselves, and they supply the chips to other card manufacturers like Asus and Zotac. But Nvidia only makes the gpu's chip themselves, the other parts are bought. And what do you have to say about Intel or AMD?And is Kingston okay? Also I heard that most hard drives are made in Thailand, what companies don't make their hard drives in Thailand?
Whats the differents between a gaming PC and a workstation? I mean aint they the same thing with the same hardware and cant a gaming PC do 3d stuff with updated graphics drivers the same as a workstation? HELP!
How much does it cost me to build a gaming PC? So I heard that building your own desktop computer is more beneficial in terms of performance, to the computer, than actually buying a pre-built one. Anyway, I was wondering what type of gaming computer do I get to have/build if I'm on a budget of a maximum of $1k.. Is it good? Like, I want it to mainly run a couple of games nice & easy. League of Legends for example is one of these games. I want to run it full graphics & resolution. How come game consoles run games better then pc's? Every game console ever made has always played the games made for them better then some of the most high end computers made. Would the addition or modification of PC hardware help protect intellectual property? PC hardware has failed to acknowledge the need for protecting the rights of software authors. Is it possible to add/modify units in PC hardware in such a way to protect intellectual property? This could be accompanied by having the software itself run on media which include hardware that would authenticate with the PC hardware. Would such things as encryption and digital signatures help?

I am trying to muster up about $1000, but I'm not sure if that will be enough. Also, if you know any reliable, well-priced PC's, a link would be great.

What are some good pc specs to run bf3 on ultra settings at around 100 fps? Hey, I'm 14 and I've been looking into building a pc within the next year hopefully. And I was wondering if there was any place to get advice on the type of hardware I would need to build a gaming pc which can run any game at a high fps, so i went here. Preferably 100 fps. I used bf3 as an example since it's one of those games that take a lot to run because of its graphical fidelity. Any suggestions on the specs to build it? An answer would be appreciated and thanks!

How to install windows on a custom build pc? I recently purchased a custom build gaming pc for my boyfriend, when I purchased it I knew it'd have no operating system so a friend of mine burned a copy of windows 7 to a disk. When switching the pc on and trying to use the disk it doesn't work. A black and white screen appears saying... "Windows boot manager Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem: 1. Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer 2. Choose your language settings, and then click next. 3. Click repair your computer. If you do not have this disc contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance. Status : 0xc0000034 Info : An unexpected error has occurred" So what do we do? We're really dumb when it comes to computers. Thanks for any help!

Why is PC (computer) gaming hardware so much more expensive than console gaming hardware? All gaming consoles are available for $300 or less. Including the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PS Vita, as well as all DSi and 3DS systems. But a $300 computer would not have nearly as much power, and would be hard to find. It would probably take at least an $800 computer. Why is this?

Gaming PC Help Hardware? Well Im planning to make me my first PC and which is a gaming PC but i have a few questions Now i want to buy this kit http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.956695 Now the question is well it has a 430 Wat PSU so im guessing this is enough to power my whole pc. But i want to upgrade to a video card something like this http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-GeForce-Mini-HDMI-Graphics-01G-P3-1460-KR/dp/B0050I1PHO and on the first review it says "BEWARE OF POWER REQUIREMENTS. Amazon doesn't tell you this you but EVGA recommend you have least a 450W PSU and a MINIMUM of 24amps on the +12V rail!" So does this mean i can place this card in my system or i have to get a 1000 wat supply since 430+450 wats would be 880 would that mean i should get a 1000 wat supply?? to power all of my system? Next question is can i run a 900 wat system? Because when ever i want to bake in my home i turn on my stove and the power goes off on that part of the house and i have to go to the switcher and switch it back on so this leaving me unable to bake to anything >_> FUUUU Please help! Thanks in advance

Build the ULTIMATE gaming PC? Well, lets just say I might want to build the ULTIMATE gaming PC. What hardware would you recommend, and why? (I intend to use SLI ) I do not need a case, since if I'm going to build the ultimate gaming PC I will custom build the case to my needs. Budget : Keep it under 5000 euro.

I want to build my own gaming PC, but am a total noob hardware-wise.? So, I want a custom built PC, preferably one that I can use for both gaming and my studies. But I literally have no idea of what the best components are, because I usually just accept desktops as they come. Anyone care to suggest the most awesome: hard drive - CD-ROM Drive - Processor - Processor Cooling Fan - Motherboard - Memory Modules - Power Supply - (I was thinking Colors-IT 650w Titan 12CM Neon Power Supply, 'cause yes, I want to be lame and have a perspex case with LEDs and neons all through it....) Video Card/ Optical drives/ Graphics card - (I was thinking Inno3D nVIDIA GeForce GTX260 (192) Graphics Card - 896MB GDDR3 - PCI-E - 448-Bit - Dual DVI - VISTA READY - 576MHz GPU - 2000MHz Memory clock ¿ HDCP) - any arguments for or against? and probably CPU cooling compounds - and you know, if I've missed any vital components..FOR GOD'S SAKE, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I thank ye of the nerdy persuasion for enlightening me =P ... if you cbf, that is. As for a budget, I intend to have this as a project that will take a fairly long time. I'm perfectly fine buying it component by component.. btw, I'm from Australia.. so I'm definitely not going to be doing anything in pounds XD Let's say, for the moment, though, that I have neither excessive funds, nor am I beggarly on the street... so mid-range prices are really where I want to be at. I don't have specifics just now, because it's something I've recently decided to do.
what is the best hardware parts and specs for a gaming pc? i want to build a brand new, high graphics providing fast pc used for gaming. ive been a serious gamer for 5 years now, but my pc specs are bad, this is because i used my money on other things like ps3, tv's, mobile phones and other stuff, but now i think i need to upgrade my pc. my current specs are: compaq presario SR 1000 single core windows vista ultimate 32*bit 1 Nvidia GeForce 6200 Turbo Cache graphics card 3GB of DDR 2 RAM (sorry i dont know the speed of it) im willing to sell\dispose of all that if it means i get a better pc. my budget is 2000 GB Pounds and for my american friends that means 3296 US Dollars but the budget is not set, so it can vary slightly. i just want to know eg: things like best and most affordable graphics card, processor cpu etc. and websites where i can compare products to one-another. thanks all for your time.

High-end Gaming PC or Xbox360? As a kid, I always had the desire to buy the best PC hardware. Regardless, the best graphics card is overkill for today's PC games. It also costs $600.00 and how many games maximize its capabilities? Crysis seems to be the only game I'm interested in that does. I have hard time justifying $2500.00 for a gaming PC when the Xbox360 has a larger selection of next-generation games. The PC has a larger selection of games, but most games released beyond the year 2004 do not take advantage of the latest hardware. The Xbox360's games' graphics are not quite as good as Crysis's graphics, but there's the price difference too. A good HDTV and an Xbox360 costs about $1,300. I have a desire for a high-end gaming PC though.. Is a $2500 gaming PC more worthy than an Xbox360?
