Build Your Own Gaming PC

What programs should i run to test the hardware on a newly built gaming PC?

I just built a new PC and i keep hearing about people who run tests on their hard drives, RAM, CPU's etc to make sure they are working properly, i have never used these programs but think it would be a good idea to do so, any information/suggestions would be great, thanks.

    You have to pay to use it, but I'm sure you can find a free copy SOMEWHERE. *cough*


  3. I use several programs. 3D mark Vantage is a good all around test. Crystal mark for harddrives. Heaven test, and Furmark for graphics. And, of course, Prime 95 for burn in and tourture testing of cpu.
